Haul Swatches pt. 2

Hello out there to the world wide web. Just going to continue with the haul swatches. Also going to add the mani I am sporting right now as well. I think I can officially declare myself polish addicted. I knew I had a problem when I started this blog lol, but it is only deepening. If anyone has an "must have" polish suggestions, let me know. I am all ears, and willing to try new things.

All right, on with the show.

 Three coats of Rock Candy. Something to wear when you're not in the mood for any color. Good for sparkle gradients.

 Three coats of Lime Juice. Could be cute to do a jellie sandwich with. Not sure what possessed me to purchase this color, not sure when I will use it but it is interesting enough.

 Two coats of Pink Creme. One thing you will find out about me is that I have a slight dislike for pink, again not sure what possessed me to buy this but I am sure I can use it for many things. Would make a great toe polish color.

 Two coats of Lilac. I love this color. I was so happy with the application and the pigmentation of it. I was so impressed with this line of polishes I will be back to purchase more.

 Two coats of Khaki. Forgive the gold dots. I meant to take a picture of just Khaki but I forgot before I was doing the mani below. Another Joe Fresh color I love. Goes on so well.

 The mani I am rocking today. Used Sally Hansen Golden-I to make the center dots and Joe Fresh Lilac to make the petals. I am not the best dotter, I have no dotting tools, this was done with a bobby pin. Looks good anyway. Love the Lilac and Khaki together. This taken inside with flash.

That's all for today. We'll see what the next couple of days will bring. I work near a Sally's and say a huge discount polish tower when I went to work yesterday. Tomorrow I may need to stop by and shop.

First Haul

Hello, I am alive, haha. I just realized I had not posted anything in over a week. I've been busy with work and my nails were not getting much attention. I also have been busy shopping for polish. In the last few days I have purchased 10 different polishes. Because I don't want to overload this post with too many pictures I will split it up into two different posts.

I just recently came across nailpolishcanada.com and have fallen in love. I was able to order 5 different name brand polishes for under $9 each. As I have never been into nail polish until recently, my collection could barely be called a collection, so I am sure the ones I have purchased are super old, but adding to the collection is always important. Lets get to it.

Here they are.

 From left to right: Rock Candy by Essie, Pink Creme by Nubar, Lime Juice by Joe Fresh, Hook and Line by China Glaze, Dusk Over Cairo by OPI, Choose Me! by Essence, Whimsical by Revlon, Rica by Zoya, Khaki by Joe Fresh and Lilac by Joe Fresh.

 Three Coats of Whimsical, which I love and had to buy after seeing on a bunch of blogs.

 Two coats of Choose Me!, such a fun color and dries so fast.

 Two coats of Dusk over Cairo, it is more dusty rose than I feel it shows. This is also my first OPI and I am so excited!

 Two coats of Rica, though it doesn't show color true, it more orange rusty.

Two coats of Hook and Line, which is my first grey and I am in love.

Anyway friends I will be back soon enough with swatches of the last five colors.

Good afternoon, everyone. I was snooping around on Pinterest and found a cute idea, using green and gold polish to create a gold leaf top coat effect. They used a base coat of green and then applied the gold with a ball of tape to have it go on randomly. I however searched for tape and came up empty. I used plastic wrap. 

So for my mani today I started with Orly Bonder base coat, then applied two coats of China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint, which I adore. Then I applied Sally Hansen Golden-I with the ball of plastic wrap. Then I wanted to add some glitter so I repeated the 'sponging' process with Sally Hansen Strobe Light. Then topped it off with Orly Won't Chip topcoat.

I like the mint and gold together, and I should have left well enough alone. In the end it looks like I got sand on my wet polish. Oh well live and learn.
